BERGENSFJORD: 1956 - Fold-out deck plan from 1950s Ybarra Line Of special note is theNorwegian America Line: A large (27" by 34") deck plan of the BERGENSFJORD issued around the time of her 1956 maiden voyage. Eight decks are shown in detail. The ship was an update of the popular OSLOFJORD of 1949, although the newer ship carried only 103 in a plush First and 775 in a large Tourist. The lesser folk got full air conditioning and cabins with private baths, cutting edge features for the era. The ship was designed for cruising during the
