Echinocereus rigidissimus v. rubispinus Caudiciform Astrophytum asterias 'Fukuryu' The JapaneseEchinocereus rigidissimus var. rubrispinus Also called E. pectinatus var. rubrispinus. A real "must have" for every cactus collection! The plant has beautiful red spines that cover the stem. It is very common for the spines to be white when young, but as the plant matures it will be consistently pink ot red, so don't worry if yours has white spines when you receive it. The plant is columnar but stays fairly short, usually only a foot or so tall.
